so i'm gassing up the jeep this am at the local luke oil
swipe the credit card, hit cheapest grade button, and insert hose
i run inside for a cup of bland green mountain and say hello to esther the friendly gas station attendant
i return to my car with a million thoughts running thru my mind...am i late for work, should i hop on the blue route or take back roads, what's happening at work today, janis is out sick, and what am i doing new year's eve
i pull away and THUG....
oh my....did i hit someone?
oh no...the gas hose and nozzle is still in my car
i get out and assess the situation and part of the gas hose and nozzle are hanging from the jeep
at first i panicked thinking i would be sprayed with gasoline but the gas hose is equipped to disconnect for morons like me
i went back in and told esther what happened...she called the mechanic man and he re-attached the gas hose to the pump and laughed at me
i went on my way
my dad called me right after this occurred...he cackled and said in nascar i would be penalized a few laps

10 lbs, 2 oz thru the vaginal canal
this picture is from her baby shower in october so she was much bigger upon delivery date
i was unable to see her yesterday in bmh labor/delivery however i did get to see my co-worker megan and her new one day old baby boy jacob
heather and megan had the same doctor and almost same due date

aunt cnn is off to visit heather and dave and meet cj

hung out in the city last night with jen
a little shopping in rittenhouse square, drinks/apps at devon, blue moons at fado, merlot and excellent calamari at capital grill, walked around city hall and ended the evening with some bubbles at the ritz
it was a beautiful festive night in the city

saturday was a great day
it started early with my sister and ended late
with my girlfriends

my sister and i went to princeton nj for our annual holiday outing
shopping along nassau street and lunch at triumph

princeton is half way between philly and nyc
supposedly the 15th (out of 100) most desirable place to reside in the u.s.

my sister and i always hit the princeton legendary halo pub for premium ice cream and rich hot cocoa

the P campus is beautiful and it always brings back memories of when i played lacrosse in college
we ventured to princeton in our purple polyester skirts to beat the plaid kilts off the brooke shields look-a-likes

bought my pollyanna gift at blue mercury

at 7pm my girlfriends started to arrive...jojo, kristin, sue, meesh, susan, and kim
my girlfriend from work jen stopped by on her way to a holiday party in wallingford
jen has become a good friend of mine earning the privledge of attending pollyanna
i can't say that many women have achieved that

lots of champagne, stella, pinot grigio, crab dip, hummus, shrimp cocktail, spinach balls, veggie pizza and soft pretzel bites

raymond stopped by with his new look

we viewed my vhs tape from pollyanna '92 at susan damico's home...big hair, bad skirts, and virginia slims...hysterical

i stole my anti-stern co-worker's GE radio this am to catch some of the last "free" show
got to hear howard broadcasting alone in the studio before heading out to the street

sounds of the season

i attended cacie's holiday concert last night at springton lake middle school
my alma mater...what a stroll down memory lane that was
so many memories flipped thru my mind as i watched these little people run around in their red tops (girls) and white shirts with neckties hanging below their waists (boys)
so energetic, so excited and so silly
a pleasant change from the elderly population that surrounds me daily

middle school was such a rapid transition from rose tree to penncrest
you're suddenly with 1,000 students, new faces, different personalities, foreign languages, interscholastic sports, nine periods a day, and getting your period
UGH...that swimming pool and the nasty one piece navy bathing suits!
girls would say they had their period to avoid swimming
the gym teacher would check our purses to see if we had feminine products
i would throw a large stayfree pad from that huge stayfree box in my mom's closet into my monogrammed "cnn" bermuda bag on pool day
anything to avoid the "swim" and shower afterwards
i was a late bloomer and was not ready to see or expose breasts and pubic hair

sometimes i would roll down to the nurse's office prior to swim class and get diagnosed with a headache and hit the blue mat/bed with the plastic pillow for twenty minutes
there were many days when i was extremely tired from being up watching dynasty and knots landing

your new best friend varied day to day
your boyfriend on a monday morning was not your boyfriend at 2:55pm
the boy-girl parties started
dale waters, richie fratarola, and mikey ryan were the hotties

funny times and SO long ago....fortunately i am still friends with many springton lake spartans
some of them will be attending pollyanna '05 saturday night at my house

i am glad i went to see cacie perform with her peers last night
i think it always means a lot to her to see my brother (her father) and i sitting with her mother and step-dad
we all love her dearly

wet snow, slushy roads, people driving too slow
went to the flyers/oilers game last night
flyers lost 2-3, players are hurt, groins are pulled
no fights, no aggression towards the goal, way too much passing
