eric and i had a great trip to europe

we stayed in london for many nights and a wknd out in the country in the cotswolds
then we went to paris for 4 nights

the cotswolds were cute little clusters of towns....thatched roofs, very harry potterish

we did a lot of walking and exploring in london
went to the british museum, tower bridge, saw the "eye" shakespeare's globe theatre, had fish and chips, drank beer in cute pubs and stole pint glasses that matched our beer, ate thai, went to a cool moroccan restaurant with belly dancers

went to chelsea neighborhood to watch a championship football final between chelsea and manchester...chelsea lost and a full blown riot broke out

we sat on a wall and watched a bunch of brits going nuts throwing pint glasses and "dust bins" at police in riot gear....it was crazy, unfortunately no one was carrying a camera but we did find some good footage on youtube...i'll try to post it
it was insane

went to harrods, windsor castle, eton, stonehenge

took the eurostar to paris and loved it!
saw the eiffel tower, arc de triomphe, champs-elysees, sacre coeur, louve museum, d'orsay museum, ate croissants and pain au chocolat daily, banana crepes, champagne, fromage, baguettes...all the good stuff

ran into venus williams while shopping near notre dame, she had her workout clothes on and ipod ....eric approached her with his warm smile and got her autograph

monday memorial day we went to the french open.....saw a few matches before the rain delay....balls!
watched james blake warm up with mardy fish and got his autograph

it was a great trip
i'll never forget it
