what a fun little creative outlet...how could anyone quit the blog?

BIG NEWS...
HUGE

i am fortunate to have an opportunity to visit europe with my friend jen and her friends from nyc

jen and i are flying direct from newark to milan, italy on 5/29 evening
we are meeting up with nadene and her friends including two milan natives giuseppe and andre (our hosts)

we are gonna explore milan for a few days then spend a day in portofino (above)
from milan we then drive south to nice, france where we board a BOAT (above) and sail the cote d'azur visiting monte carlo, cannes, and st. tropez

the boat will be our "home" for four days...
from the south of france we drive back to milan and fly home to newark 6/7

it's hump day and i'm not getting humped...(sorry mom)

i visited my aunt mary and bobba in west chester this wknd (aka aunt muriel and uncle robbie)
my uncle always has jokes...always poor taste, usually racial

bobba: "hey chris, do you know what indecent means?"

me: "ah yea, opposite of decent?"

bobba: "no it means...if it's hard enough, long enough, and in far enough...it's indecent"

me: silly grin on my face

bobba: red faced, chuckling away

anyway nice to see them...also got to visit with betty (aka heather) and cj (almost 4 months old)

betty's 18 year old cousin lauren (aka lubby) was visiting from the phillipines so i got to catch up with her
she's in dental school and on summer holiday..here in the states until june 1
she's boy CrAzY and wants to go out dancing

had a nice easter in bucks county at my sister's...went trout fishing with her kids and caught a small dead frog

mom and dad just arrived home from their journey north...
the snowbirds are in chester county pa...prolly with the heat on
comcast met them at the house for the digital cable/high speed internet hookup

i forgot my new dig camera all wknd while i was out and about...sorry no pics

OH...the chandelier
i didn't get it
some bitch snuck up on me 5pm friday with a higher bid
i was helpless on the blue route traveling home from work
i hope she's happy
i hope it collects a lot of dust

above is the overpriced chloe bag that i liked for about 40 minutes
i'm done with ebay
saving my money for something VERY (LOOK CHUCK CAPS) EXCITING this summer

two things i'm obsessed with this week...
stuffed peeps and ebay

my sister got me fired up on ebay with chloe handbags
she got the "edith" bag in whiskey
i like the "paddington" bag and have been following a few late night auctions

i did find a really cool old crystal chandelier that i bid on...
2days 7hours remaining...
it's a nail biter
i really want it
i'm losing sleep
i need more nyquil

i also found a 4-pack of peeps on ebay for $6.99

i have spring fever
i have been battling an upper respiratory infection for 10 days now
i need to get out this wknd

crocs

i'm thinking i might need a pair of crocs this spring
they're kinda ugly "ugly can be beautiful" but super comfortable and light weight

3 founders from boulder colorado started the company a few years ago with the "beach" foam clog/sandal originally intended as a boat/outdoor shoe
now they have many different styles/colors and are found all over the world

the crocs are $29.95 at nordies...for $14.95 i would do it...$30 bucks...not sure
but they are anti-microbial, odor resistant with ergonomic italian styling
i'm gonna get croc'd on some nyquil and sleep on it

happy anniversary mom and dad

my mom is my guest blogger today

Today (4-04-06) we are celebrating our 47th Anniversary. Bill is celebrating by going out with friends to play golf, his favorite thing to do. It's been a nice long trip for us. We have four great kids, Kathy, being the oldest, then 2 boys, Bill and Don and Chris, our baby. We have had many happy times throughout the years, but not without tears as well. We also have 4 dear grandchildren that we love. Cacie will be 13 next week. We have Evan 10, Andrew 8 and Dana Jacqueline 7, notice, I mentioned Dana's middle name. I am very proud to be part of it, and she is very sweet.
So, who knows, if we make 3 more years, that will be very special. Maybe I'll even get something GOLD...

max guthrie

visited the guthrie's yesterday and played with max for a few hours
he is all boy...constantly on the move, banging his bat on the windows, chasing sammy the cat, climbing atop the swing set, eating bubbles, farting and giggling...
max turns 2 this month


i'm home sick today
feeling kinda crappy with a sore throat, aches, and stuffy nose
but the good news is that my sister is coming to visit me for dinner
