i'm up and running on my new toshiba notebook
after "breaking" 2 dells i decided to try a different brand
apparently i have a serious issue with power cords and jacks

in addition to ruining my dell...last week i broke jen's laptop
fortunately computer renaissance in drexel hill
was able to fix it
they are great
they don't blame everything on a bad motherboard

i was extremely worried after researching computer repair
of course the dell warranty expired so no luck with india
ak spent hours with tweezers and toothpicks trying to grab hold of the loose jack
the geek squad said they don't solder and couldn't fix it
micro center in radnor said they'd have to send it out and it would be $425

at that point i considered staging a break-in and tellin her that we were robbed and they took her computer...

still working with the friendly representatives at dell
trying to get them to cut me some slack on a new one
spent 40+ minutes on the phone yesterday with customer service, tech support, and customer service again
just may dial them up again after my starbucks breakfast blend

ak showed me how to tape the power cord tightly around the notebook
but it still shuts off
last night i composed a beautiful email to my girl lynnie in florida and it shut off
the computer almost went into the fireplace
my roommate was home and said "don't do it"
