there's nothin like home

cnn is feeling 100% today
reminiscing and missing the black jack table, red stripe light, rastafari swim up bar, lynnie, dena, maryland friends, reggae music, and the warm jamaican smiles

things cnn is not missing...large roaches, fat hairy sun-burned tourists, toss your cookie bus rides, 3rd world airport lines, and poverty

I see, CNN is just another "means-to-an-end" tourist.

Wants: the sun, the fun, the beach, the rum.

Does not want: To be remined that trickle down economics is not a reality of Jamaican tourist dollars, poverty exists in great proportions, cookies tend to toss when you drink too much, sleep too little and ride on 3RD world roads.

Hmmm...maybe CNN should apply for the "Great Race"...now this would be great telly.

And by the way....where's the $700.00 bikini shots?

CNN, did your bus stop at that halfway point to Ocho Rios with the little food stand where the locals sell their arts and crafts and "locally grown produce"?

i understand reality pinf
i am a tourist and left rich usa to visit poor jamaica

poverty exists and it is humbling
especially after seeing jamaicans' "homes" and returning to swarthmore surrounded by huge victorian single family mansions

i appreciate what i have and where i come from everyday

i don't know what the "great race" is, i am not applying, and i would never spend $700 on a bathing suit

poker pro
how are u?
i did not purchase any "locally grown produce"
but got asked a few times..."do u want to party?"

Simone looks great-I am sure she's happy you are home!

Did anyone "party"? You know we like to go to friendly party places when we travel....Jamaica has been on our list for a few years....might skip the bus, tho'

Glad you're back!

Don't come to Costa Rica if you don't like the following

-dust
-cold showers
-black guys carrying machete's
-black guys carrying machete's who look like they could be on crack
-spiders, snakes, bats, scorpions etc.
-rain
-more dust

On the other hand, if you like everything you see in the brochures, it's here for you!
