august already

i'm back
i couldn't stay away from the b l o g
and this is my 150th post

the horrific heat wave has passed
and i'm outside cruising the streets on my new trek road bike
i road 50 miles this wknd
my trek 1000 is very light weight and made of aluminum and carbon...very cool technology with the new bikes
it's not the lance armstrong trek madone sslx made of boron but it moves
i think i go faster than some cars...except for on the hills over by hedgerow theatre in rose valley
where i needed some floyd landis synthetic testosterone...

i have a bunch of new cycle buddies at the rt. 320 bike shop
the original shop was burnt down by an angry 14 year old
so they are temporarily renting the old cvs media real estate dump on rt. 320 (sorry pp)

they think i'm a little nutty of course with some of my crazy outfits and one night i stopped in with simone after a vet visit....but they are gonna take care of special me and my new orange bike

i will be riding all week after work if anyone wants to join me and possibly out to chester county this wknd or along kelly drive in the city

in other news...went down to one of my favorite little spots in the city yesterday called tria
it's a cute comfortable little purple place with good music on the corner of 18th and sansom
the wine, cheese, and beer cafe is great to visit on a sunday for "sunday school"
they choose a not-so-common wine, cheese, and beer for the syllabus at 50% off
yesterday i had a sauvignon blanc from france and some bonne bouche goat cheese from vermont for $7
can't beat it
check it out...they already have the "sunday school" syllabus posted on their website for august 13

the guys that work there are really nice....the one dude is from swarthmore and was looking to buy/rent the old michael's pharmacy and open up something tria-like
things didn't work out for him and unfortunately we now have a dunkin donuts/baskin-robbins establishment

hey...if anyone has any cheap travel ideas for labor day wknd let me know
it's a 3 day wknd and cnn might just have to get out of delco
